Hi, my name is Rebecca Drexler Tweedle and I am running for LMSV school board in Area 1. A San Diego native, I have lived in La Mesa for the last 8 years and have 2 students at Murray Manor Elementary. I have an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution and a Masters Certificate in International Development. My goals are to support and uplift our school district through quality public education at all our neighborhood schools.
Priorities
Student safety: Going to and from school, upgrading facilities to meet maintenance and safety standards.
Student mental health: Ensuring adequate counselors, reducing barriers to attendance.
High quality education: Meet high standards through evidence-based and current practices. Help ensure all residents feel confident attending their neighborhood school.
Competitive compensation: We want to attract and retain high-quality educators and administrators.
